Before installing OCR Xpress for Node.js, make sure your computer system meets the minimum requirements detailed below:

• x86_64 architecture
• Node.js 4.0 or greater and npm
• GCC 4.8.1 or greater
• g++ 4.8.1 or greater
• JRE 1.7 or later (to run License Manager and Server Licensing Utility)       

Check the Version

To check the version of nodejs, gcc, and java on your machine use the following code from a Linux terminal:

$ node -v
$ gcc --version
$ g++ -v
$ java -version

Operating System

OCR Xpress for Node.js has been tested on Ubuntu (64-bit) and CentOS (64-bit).

It should also run on other Linux distributions, as long as they fully satisfy the requirements listed in this section.
